Every place has a story. Whether I am painting a portrait of your family's summer home or creating an illustration for your business, the details you share with me make their way into the texture and spirit of the finished piece.
Home portraits can be a very therapeutic gift for those that leave a home after many years. Sharing memories with clients, looking at photographs and then creating something new together is very comforting process. Providing an outlet for grief and loss is just what many of my older clients need to move on to the next stage of their lives. They look upon their new home portrait as something they have created with me.
With a background in education, I strive to capture the beauty and serenity of nature and architecture with accuracy. Much of my environmental illustration in the past has been created for print, educational materials, maps and posters.
